CoreMax refrigeration access valve presentation: This presentation will
explain how the valve works and which tools to use and/or not use if service
is required. While the outer appearance is similar to a schrader style
access port (45deg flare with 7/16-20 thread) and while the service tech
uses standard refrigeration gauge sets to connect, a schrader core tools

Service and Energy Savings—An Easy Sell
Want to know more about boiler water treatment? How to sell boiler service to customers on energy savings? The November meeting will help you understand the impact of a comprehensive water treatment program on boiler energy utilization. Bill Hooke and Pete Dann of INTERNATIONAL CHEMTEX CORPORATION will provide this month’s 60-minute seminar. Bill is Regional Vice President of International Chemtex Corporation and Bill is Marketing Manager for International Chemtex Corporation. Their presentation will focus on the three main areas of energy loss from a boiler system and how the water treatment program impacts each of the areas. Jot down a few questions for them. The answers to your questions will help the entire group learn more about boiler system maintenance. |

Chris Wiege, TRANE commercial systems trainer, will explain centrifugal chillers—history, components, and operation. With nearly twenty years in the business, Chris is well prepared to answer your questions about centrifugal chillers. Beginning his career in 1986 as a Refrigeration Fitter/Pipe Fitter, Chris has a combined 19 years of experience as a Journeyman Service Technician/ Project manager/Account manager. Areas of expertise include heavy refrigeration and systems troubleshooting. Chris came to Trane Technical Training in 2007 and is focused on development and instruction for our AC Service, Commercial Service, Electrical Troubleshooting, and Precedent/Voyager rooftop courses. |

The Club sits on Post Road just off Minnesota Highway 5 near the Minneapolis/St.
Paul International Airport and Fort Snelling State Park. From Loop 494, exit
on Highway 5 heading north. Take the Post Rd. exit and turn right into Fort
Snelling State Park. Take the first left (the road with the gate). You will
see the back of the Fort Snelling Officer's Club. The road ends in the parking
lot on the far side.
